The Marvellous Acai Berry
The Acai berry or Acai Fruit is growing in the Amazonian rain forest on huge palm trees and it is like a purple marble or grape. It has delicious tropical taste. In Northern Brazil, in the Amazon region for hundreds of years people have eaten this fruit, curative effect it is legendary. The Amazonian acai berry (which has 10 times more antioxidants than grapes and twice as many as wild blueberry) is considered for the fruit with best nutritional value in the world.
Maybe this is the best food in the world as it is full of nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, trace elements, dietary fiber, which some researches suggest that promotes healthy functioning of the digestive system, lower cholesterol levels and helps stop premature aging. The same effect has Vitamin E what also can be found in berries in large quantities as well. The indigestible fibers reduce the risk of developing certain cancers also.
The omega fatty acids (6 and 9) are essential for a healthy nervous system development and regeneration. In addition, it helps heal and rejuvenate your muscles after an intense physical activity and demonstrated to reduce LDL and maintain HDL cholesterol levels. The fatty acid ratio of Acai is like in olive oil. Studies show that this is the reason that in the Mediterranean countries there is low rates of heart disease.
