What are the best fishing lures for bass in extremely weedy waters?
I fish in lakes Maspenock, and Whitehall in Hopkinton Ma and both have a ton of weeds through out. I use plastic worms like senkos, spinnerbaits and frogs and do catch a decent amount of fish, but I feel like the fish have all seen these same lures so many times that Im missing out on the bigger fish. What lures would you guys recommend to fish in these weedy waters? Thanks
When the bite tapers off on the senko type worms I have found the Zoom Trick Worm and the Zoom Speed worm in the paddle tail version will produce fish for you. And I like to fish these lures rigged Texas style and weightless.Retrieve with light twitches of the rod tip.I love fishing the weeds with these lures. Another lure you may try would be the Zoom Baby Brush hog Rigged Texas style and with a sliding sinker. Strikes will come on the fall 90% of the time.

As the summer begins to heat up in many areas, so does bass fishing. Many bass fishermen agree that there is no better time of the year to catch bass than the summertime and in this article I will outline 3 extremely effective bass baits to use during the hot summer months. When the weather gets hot the bass baits that are employed should be adjusted to match what the bass are doing, and bass tend to react differently as the weather (and subsequently the water temperatures) heat up.
Bass fishing tends to become a bit more difficult during extremely hot weather, mostly because during extremely hot weather water temperatures can become all but unbearable to bass. You have to remember certain colors and lures will only work on certain days and certain times of the year. For example, it's hard to catch Bass on a spinner-bait when it's 20 degrees outside. Bass are very slow in cold weather, so you have to adapt just like them.
Some basic keys to finding Bass are structure and water currents. Bass love thick vegetation and structures like logs. Also, they are more often found in slow-moving waters or, even better, waters with no current at all. Habitats like man-made ponds, lakes, reservoirs and river backwaters are a good place to start looking. In these areas, find broken trees or structures like vegetation in the water and you're sure to find Bass lurking.
